BALKANS NGO UMBRELLA BEGINS

BELGRADE - Set up in Belgrade on Monday, Association of Nongovernmental Organizations of Southeastern Europe (CIVIS) will aim to rally as many regional nongovernmental organizations to stimulate their cooperation in the promotion of the European values and present their shared interests at Council of Europe (CoE). The CIVIS named European Movement in Serbia President Zivorad Kovacevic as President and Foundation for Peace and Crisis Resolution Director Boris Vukobrat as Honorary President. CIVIS came about as the synergy of the related initiatives from the region and Strasbourg asking to hear one body speak for the NGOs.
