Sofia. The Bulgarian business expands its investments on the Balkans, Tihomir Toshev from the Bulgarian Credit Center said in an interview for FOCUS News Agency, commenting on an article in the Macedonian daily Vecer, entitled ‘Bulgarians own 4 of a total of 18 banks in Macedonia’. ‘The banking sector is one of the most profitable sectors, and banks were mainly used for deposits before 2001, when crediting was not developed. Now we can see a growth of crediting every year. It is clear that this would happen in Macedonia as well – they are walking towards EU membership’, he said. ‘Large Bulgarian companies want to become Balkan structures – large companies are coming to the Balkans’, Toshev added.
