(SRB) Economic growth of Serbia - the fastest in Europe

"Last year Serbian economy registered great progress and economic growth of 7.3%, which is the fastest in Europe", Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Delic (www.srbija.sr.gov.yu) mentioned during the talk with the businessmen from Novi Pazar. "It is our job to provide conditions for much quicker development of the economy", said Djelic, reminding that that progress is even more important if we have in mind where we started from. Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the Agreement on stabilization and association had been determined in the record time and he added that that trade agreement would make it possible for businessmen to know exactly what was going on and where. "That is the contract between Serbia and European Union and all 27 countries members, on the basis of which we will know how fast our country will enter European market", said Djelic, pointing out that the agreement anticipates certain security measures. Djelic estimated that the agreement would be signed very soon, by the end of January, after which Serbia would become a candidate for membership in European integrations.
